Just found your blog! Great photos and content. Going to link to it on strikethru. Glad you're in the typosphere.
That is a great use for cases. I should suggest that to my wife. We have several typewriters displayed about the house but you make the cases look useful, too. Great pictures.
Think I neglected to say, that video was amazing. I've always wanted a Quiet Riter. Cute cat :-)
Your blog is off to a great start! Gorgeous photos and I love the video. I'm very fond of the Quiet-Riters; don't care for their paint, though, so I've repainted a lot of them (gold, black/gold, black/blue, bluegreen ...). Keep it up.
Thanks Strikethru! Pardon the late reaction :-D I love that little feature... did wonders for my blog traffic :-D Not to mention all the fluff my ego developed and the wings on my heart too. :-D Glad you liked the vid! Thanks so much!Snohomishwriter, yeah the cases keep me busy too. probably since our area is dusty and I really don't want to display typewriters when not in use. I keep just one out and the other one is in its case.Richard P, thanks for the visit and the compliment. most of the typewriters from here are pretty beat up. maybe one day i will be brave enough to repaint one of those :-D
The Quiet Riter is a nice machine, plus you could drop it out of an airplane, parachute down after ir, and easily write a note to your sweetheart. Indestructible, I mean to say. Oh, and be careful of that fountain pen business. There are some VERY affordable models out there like the Lamy Safari and the disposable (!) Pilot Varisty. Lest you practice caution, you may find yourself addicted...
The blog is looking great!
thanks Mike, shordzi and Ryan... :-)Mike, too late! addicted already :-S
Hello! I am Via. I'm currently doing my thesis about typewriters here in the Philippines. Is there anyway I can reach you for an interview about typewriter enthusiasts in our country? Thank you very much! You may reach me at email@example.com
